I Miss My Mommy...

Because she's the only person I know who would watch this trailer and be as excited about it as I am. Because she's unphased by fantasy violence... she's the kind of sick mind that liked Once Upon a Time in Mexico and Sin City even more than I did. And because this looks like a fantasy artist's wetdream. I hope they turn every Frank Miller comic ever written into a movie.

Thios film looks to be following the book's art direction as slavishly as Sin City did. I'm sort of looking forward to it. I think it looks better than SC looked (Lynn Varley gets a screen credit), and perhaps I can handle noble Greek pyschotic violence better than amoral urban psychotic violence.

The battle of Thermopylae is one of my favorite pieces of history from any culture. I was thrilled when Tom Cruise briefly mentioned it in "The Last Samurai" and I'm thrilled there's a movie being made about it.

Like "Braveheart" and "Gladiator" and countless other movies where warriors shout something memorable, I'm also looking forward to eating popcorn "IN HELLLL!!!"

And remember kiddies - it's only a movie! PLEASE DO NOT TRY THESE FIGHTING SKILLS IN REAL LIFE SINCE POOR GAMER NERDS _WILL_ LOSE EVERY FIGHT THEY GET IN TO!
