Talentless Hack Though I Am

It's fun to pull out my guitar and try to record something. Once again I can only manage a 45 second evocation... a fragment of emotion... rather than a whole song. Regardless, I put it out there for you to hear if only to confirm that I did something creative this week.

That was lovely. And remember, you played the guitar for at least 45 seconds longer than me, and a lot of other people. Good on ya.

I think this is why blogging was invented.

Thanks Walter. Sadly, the 45 second product required about 2 hours of creative energy in the making. There was time spent in composing, recording the 4 separate tracks, mixing the levels and applying some reverb on the guitar lead, trying to fix mistakes, releveling the master volume, mixing down into MP3 and uploading on the my online storage so that I could share it on the blog. Whew.

And I think you're right. Stave It Off exists so that I can document little bursts of creativity or inspiration that happen in my life. In that sense, I couldn't be a professional blogger that makes it a point to sit down and write regardless of inspiration... or that finds inspiration (and discovers new ideas) in the act of writing itself.
