Let the judging, voting, public humiliation, ballot stuffing and muckraking begin!!! Give us a "best of show" winner folks... or at least a "worst of show" winner!

I love color, and Randomly Selected Artist #1's color doth know my shit for a loop, so heesh gets my vote.

I hereby cast my lot with the leftover. So textured I touched the screen to feel its ragged surface, so rusty that I checked my fingers for the spread of that Martian decay.

RE: Artist #2, Photo 5.
This photo makes me think of a young rocket scientist with a lot of old parts in the backyard or in his garage and he is planing to make some kind of invention someday from these old parts, nothing in particular, but an invention of some sort that will be a great wonder someday.

Artist 2 Picture 3 is my absolute favorite, and I think it looks like Di's work, but the rest of the group doesn't so much. (Overall Artist 3 looks the most consistently like her sensibility to me). I've only seen Soapy's stuff once, but it was good, and I've never seen Johnbai's.

So, I think it's #1 Johnbai, #2 Soapy, and #3 Di. But maybe switch 2 and 3.

Call me unenlightened, but I find all these picture of our modern society in decay/decline a bit self involved and melodramatic. I wouldn't vote for any of them...

artist 2 is my favorite, and picture 2, which looks like alien robot-turtles emerging from the culvert to pulverize humanity, gets my nod.

A diabolical genius who secretly wants the entire world to be impoverished and swallowed by chaos now anthropomorphizes the artwork of the masses like opposing pieces on a chessboard. But we're all blind, feeling the board with our fingertips in an effort to determine who's winning. My mind projects images of a boy sitting in the backyard with an ant farm and a magnifying glass. An electronic voice playfully asks, "Shall, we, play, a, game?"

That being said, in terms of this "art competition," Artist #2 floats my boat and gets my vote. This artist utilizes great composition and balance, and makes excellent use of the entire frame. I believe the color photos would still have an impact if stripped of said color. My eyes squinted and my mouth hung agape in wonder upon viewing this work. Bravo!

Soapy (who may or may not be Artist #2)

p.s. next time let's increase the mystery and conceal the identities of one or more of the participants. :)

A little late since you already have a winner, but just think of my vote as a vote not correctly counted and therefore legally added to the final tally, just like we did for our governor...

So, I vote for Artist #2 Pic #1 (and also for Artist #1 Pic #1).

I like color.

Thankfully your vote doesn't change the outcome of the election... I know because I've done a hand recount 3 times now.
